festival for the band! Hailing from nearby Franklin County,
Virginia, Junior Sisk is at the top of his game and has surrounded
himself with a top notch band of musicians and features some of the
most stellar songwriting you’ll ever hear. Considered by many to
have one of the most truly authentic sounds in the Bluegrass genre,
the band was awarded the 2012 IBMA Song of the Year , 2012 IBMA
Album of the Year, and the 2013 IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year!
Each time the band releases a new track, it climbs straight to the
top of the Bluegrass charts. If you haven't seen these guys perform

Celebrating more than 30 years in the music business, the
world-renowned Lonesome River band returns for their third
appearance at the Chantilly Farm Bluegrass & BBQ Festival. Led
by Patrick County native and banjo virtuoso Sammy Shelor, the
band's distinctly accomplished cutting-edge sound have gained them
legions of fans from around the globe. The laundry list of music
industry awards the band has received are proof that the Lonesome
River Band continue to set the standard for contemporary bluegrass
music.

Formed in 2013, youth Bluerass band Gravel Road have taken the
regional music scene by storm with their electrifying stage show
and impressive musical abilities. The band's members hail from
Floyd County and the New River Valley of Southwestern
Virginia. Firmly rooted in tradition, with a fresh style
appealing to audiences of today, Gravel Road is proud to help
represent the face and future of bluegrass, gospel, and traditional
string band music. The band is set to release their first major
recording in 2015 and their growing legion of fans could not be
more excited! Gravel Road has opened for such notable acts as
Rhonda Vincent, Ralph Stanley, Seldom Scene and Sierra
Hull.

The Wildman's are no strangers to the Chantilly stage and we're
so excited to have these talented young musicians back at this
year's Bluegrass and BBQ Festival. Siblings Eli and Aila Wildman,
are quickly becoming some of the most accomplished youth musician's
in our region! Mama Wildman is currently backing up the group
with her upright bass and a smooth bluegrass drive. Since their
debut at the Chantilly Farm Bluegrass and BBQ festival in 2011,
when Eli was 10 and Aila 8, they have grown into an act featuring
strong vocals and instrumental leads on mandolin and fiddle that
are comparable to those of advanced adult players, with a freshness
and style that is uniquely their own…Balanced with 6 years of
classical and traditional music study at Floyd Music School, these
kids are part of the ongoing musical tradition of the Blue Ridge
Mountains!
Based out of the rapidly growing Back Porch Studios in Downtown
Floyd, the Back Porch Cloggers will showcase one of the most
important components of traditional Appalachian culture….dance!
Back Porch Studios offers a wide array of classes and programs for
everyone from children to adults. You won't want to miss these
incredibly talented dancers as they perform in between sets on the
Saturday portion of this year's festival. And if traditional
mountain dance is something that you've always wanted to learn,
look no further than Back Porch Studios and the variety of classes
they offer.
